中机国际工程设计研究院有限责任公司（简称中机国际，英文全称China Machinery International Engineering Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd ，简称CMIE,原机械工业部第八设计研究院），我国最早组建的国家大型综合性设计单位之一，创建于1951年，是集工程咨询、工程设计、工程总承包、项目管理、工程监理、工程勘察、工程施工、专用设备设计与制造、设备成套和工程技术研究于一体的高新技术企业，总部设在长沙，隶属于世界500强企业中国机械工业集团有限公司(简称国机集团)，是中国机械设备工程股份有限公司(简称CMEC)的全资子公司。多年上榜ENR/建筑时报中国工程设计企业60强。
Founded in 1951,China Machinery International Engineering Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd, (referred to as CMIE, formerly the 8th Design Institute of Ministry of Machinery Industry), as one of the first batch of large comprehensive design units in China, is a high-tech enterprise integrating engineering consulting, engineering design, general project contracting, project management, project supervision, engineering investigation, construction, special equipment design and manufacturing, complete plant supply and engineering research. Headquartered in Changsha, CMIE belongs to China Machinery Industry Group Co., Ltd. (referred to as SINOMACH) - one of the Fortune 500 enterprises, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of China Machinery Engineering Co., Ltd. (referred to as CMEC). It has been listed the top 60 Chinese design firms in ENR/Construction Times for several years.

综合设计研究院、装备成套与测控工程院、建筑设计研究院、建筑规划设计研究院、市政工程设计研究院、环境工程设计研究院、能源工程设计研究院、先进电池与储能材料工程院、数智技术设计研究院、工程公司、企业技术中心等板块组成，拥有30多个专业类别的人员2400余人，其中有享受政府特殊津贴专家、APEC建筑师、IPMP项目管理师、正高级工程师、高级技术人员、各类国家注册师等700余人。在北京、南京、珠海、杭州、昆明、西安、天津、沈阳、滁州等地设有分支机构。
CMIE is composed of Comprehensive Design and Research Division, Energy Engineering Design and Research Division, Architectural Design and Research Division, Residential and Commercial Architectural Design and Research Division, Architectural Planning, Design and Research Division, Municipal Engineering Design and Research Division, Environmental Engineering Design and Research Division, Energy Engineering Design and Research Division，Advanced Battery and Energy Storage Materials Engineering Design and Research Division，Engineering Company, Digital Intelligence Design and Research Division, Enterprise Technology Center and other sectors. There are around 2400 staff of over 30 professional categories, including specialists with special government allowances, APEC architects, IPMP project managers, senior engineers, senior technicians, various national registrars, in total of more than 700. It has subsidiaries in Beijing, Nanjing, Zhuhai, Hangzhou, Kunming, Xi'an, Tianjin, Shenyang, Chuzhou and other places.

中机国际累计完成20000余项国内外工程设计，取得500余项科研成果，获得国家科学技术奖10余项、省部级科学技术奖38项，获得国家、省部级优秀勘察设计咨询奖350余项，拥有国家专利和专有技术、软件著作权300余项，承接国家、地方各级政府部门科技项目20余项，主、参编国家、地方、行业技术标准和规范240余项。
CMIE has completed over 20,000 engineering designs home and abroad accumulatively, achieved over 500 scientific research results, gained 10 science and technology awards of state level, 38 science and technology awards of ministry level and over 350 excellent survey and design consultancy awards of state level, ministry level and provincial level. Possessing over 300 national patents, proprietary technologies and software copyrights, CMIE has undertaken more than 20 scientific and technological projects of national and local government departments of all levels and has edited or co-edited more than 240 national, local, and industry standards and regulations.
